Aciphex is an antiulcer drug used to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It is also used to promote healing of erosive esophagitis.
Misoprostol is used for reducing the risk of stomach ulcers in patients who take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Prevacid is a proton pump inhibitor which prevents the stomach from producing acid. Prevacid is used for the treatment of acid-related stomach and throat (esophagus) problems (e.g., acid reflux or GERD, ulcers, erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome).
